Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Register for either Wednesday or Thursday (or both).

Important Dates

April 17, 2017
Registration Opens
Note: Companies are encouraged to register early. The CEE Job Fair tends to fill up quickly.

September 1, 2017
Last day to cancel registration with full refund.
No refunds for cancellation requests received after this date.

September 18-22, 2017
Packages must arrive during these dates.

Cost, Equipment, and Services Provided

The cost of attending the CEE job fair is $700. All companies will receive an invoice after payment has been received. Each company receives the following:

  • One 6'x30" table and 2 chairs
  • Wireless internet (instructions for use will be provided on each table)
  • Electrical outlets are extremely limited and will be assigned in the order they are requested. Please submit your request during the registration process or e-mail Keely Ashman at kashman@illinois.edu.

Note that companies must bring their own computing and electrical equipment.

 *Set-up is not available in the hours or days leading up to the fair. Please arrive no earlier than 8:30am.

**To reach the Crane Bay, enter Newmark Lab from the north loading zone located on Main Street. The door will be marked with an orange sign.

An assortment of boxed lunches will be provided in the lounge for all recruiters and faculty beginning at 11:30am. The recruiters lounge will be located in the lower level of the Crane Bay.

Note: The fair will remain open to students throughout the lunch period; recruiters are welcome to take their boxed lunch back to their table.

Luncheon Sponsorship

To sponsor the lunch for job fair student attendees, please select this option during registration. Sponsorship cost is $500. Sponsors of the job fair lunch are acknowledged on event maps that are distributed to attendees, on event posters, and the summer issues of the CEE magazine that is distributed to alumni and all students.

Interview Space

For Thursday, September 28 and Friday, September 29  

Formal interview space has been reserved through Engineering Career Services (ECS) for the day(s) after the job fair. To request your day after fair interview rooms, you can do so by contacting Keely Ashman either by phone (217) 333-6454 or via email kashman@illinois.edu. This block of rooms will be available on a first-requested, first-served basis. There is a maximum of 2 rooms per company.

Company Descriptions and Job Announcements

Brief company descriptions should be uploaded during registration. Company names and descriptions will be made available to students in advance of the job fair.

Companies wishing to post job announcements in advance of the fair should do so via I-Link, which is a site available to University of Illinois students. No individual listings will be sent to students. Please contact Engineering Career Services (217-333-1960) if you have questions about posting on I-Link. Important: entering postings into the I-Link system does not register you for the job fair. To attend the job fair you must complete the CEE registration form.

Shipping Information

The following directions will aid our shipping/receiving center in handling packages.

Please ship your packages so that they arrive within our shipping window of September 18-22, 2017. Packages that arrive after September 22 are not guaranteed to be available to you. Mail all packages to:

FedEx Express and UPS will be picking up packages directly from Newmark Lab. Other FedEx services are not available unless you personally call to arrange for pick-up. Each individual company is responsible for providing their own return shipping labels and all shipping costs. Labels, tape, scissors, and other packing material will not be provided.

Parking and Driving Information

The CEE Job Fair is held in the Crane Bay of Newmark Lab on the University of Illinois campus. Newmark Lab is located at:

205 North Mathews Drive
Urbana, IL 61801

Free parking spots are provided to CEE Job Fair participants in the B22 campus lot bordered by University, Goodwin, Clark, and Harvey (see map). Entrances are on Clark or Harvey. No parking pass is required.

Other parking is available at meters, which carry a charge of $1.00 per hour. These meters are located at:

  1. Mathews St. between Springfield Ave. and University Ave.
  2. Springfield Ave. between Wright St. and Goodwin Ave.
  3. North Parking Garage located at the corner of University Ave. and Mathews (use the Mathews St. entrance only)

Payment Information

Credit card payments are preferred and you will be directed to the payment portal upon completion of your registration (register here).

Check payments are only accepted through September 1, 2017. Please make checks payable to “University of Illinois".

Company-Student Networking Night

The pre-job fair networking event on Tuesday, September 26, is designed to introduce companies to CEE students as well as give students the opportunity to learn more about your company in a more relaxed setting. The night is set up with two information sessions in which you are to present a short introduction of your company and what your company specializes in, followed by a question and answer session.
